You belong here just as much as anyone else.

You must A.L.I.G.N to lead.

Through a five step methodology developed specifically for sensitive and neurodiverse minds, I’ll guide you from the cycle of self-doubt and burnout to becoming the emotionally intelligent leader who creates ripple effects of positive change — starting from within.

Meeting Yourself Deeply

Self-actualization is about becoming deeply and courageously yourself. For those who find themselves always doing things a little differently, this journey can feel like peeling back layers of “shoulds” to reveal the truth of what actually is.

Whole-Scale Activation

Once you get comfortable practicing living and leading from a place of alignment, versus assimilation, your potential for impact increases immensely. The path becomes crystal clear because you create the path.

Different is the Direction.

What makes you different is what matters in today’s world. The Future of Jobs Report 2025, delivered by the World Economic Forum, shows that in the age of AI the leadership skills needed by 2023 are deeply human. Skills you naturally have. Emotionally intelligent advisors are in - warrior kings are out.

Step 1 — Assess

We begin by establishing clear language for who you are—your strengths, your needs, and your stress patterns. Through assessments and a guided debrief, you’ll see your wiring as a set of assets rather than problems to solve. We set shared norms, build safety, and surface early insights that help you function as a high-performing team member. The Birkman Method® is a powerful tool for anyone navigating the challenges of work because it gives language to things we often feel but don’t know how to explain. We’ll review:

  • The Birkman Method® assessment, relevant neurotype assessments

  • Plain-language education on the interaction of sensory processing sensitivity and sensation seeking traits

  • Why your traits support effective leadership (evolutionary role and business value)

  • Where your values align with your behavior and where they do not, revealing immediate action steps for increasing alignment

Step 2 — Liberate

With a clearer view of your wiring, we examine where you’ve been over-adapting and the real costs of masking. People can only see what you show them - do you like what they see? You’ll identify strong needs, early signals of strain, and the boundaries that support healthy performance. We translate this insight into simple, professional language your colleagues can understand. We’ll discover:

  • Needs awareness: strongest needs, where over-adapting occurs, and the impact of masking

  • Early signs of unmet needs and how to respond before stress escalates

  • Values clarification (actual, shadow, espoused) and non-negotiables

  • The difference between self-doubt (imposter syndrome) and healthy self-awareness of gaps

Step 3 — Integrate

Once you know who you are and what you need from others to stay grounded, what needs to stay and what needs to go in the way we are living becomes clear. The greatest risks and greatest rewards are in choosing to be who you truly are, walking your confidence, and holding compassion for yourself as you make this change. We move from insight to internal leadership. In this stage we’ll learn:

  • Internal Family Systems foundations: parts mapping and the 8 Cs of Self

  • Identify which parts are driving your leadership in common scenarios

  • Discover where you are aligned vs. where you are assimilating

  • Replace unhelpful coping strategies with Self-led choices

Step 4 — Ground

Everyone gets stressed, but most people don’t notice the subtle signs of fatigue and depletion that - when caught early - can be regulated and mitigated so you don’t make choices you’ll regret. Self-regulation is a leadership skill. Emotional intelligence is crucial for navigating the complex and continuous challenges faced by leaders today. Insight becomes reliable capacity when your energy is steady and your agreements are clear. In this step we understand:

  • Self-regulation and resilience: recognize early signs of overload and apply regulation techniques

  • When to manage emotion, show emotion, and use emotion in decision-making

  • Relationship hygiene: nourish supportive relationships; step back from those that undermine your goals

Step 5 — Navigate

With a stable base, we design purposeful impact. There’s no greater emptiness than using your gifts towards something that lacks meaning. Your values must be translated into the kind of impact you want to make in this world. You are altruistic by nature, but are you effective? Opportunity exists at the intersection of what you’re good at, what drives you, and what the world needs. Finally, we’ll achieve:

  • Purpose and effectiveness: mission statement, who you serve best, and small shifts that improve impact

  • What your natural strengths and learned abilities are, and who can you serve the most with all of your gifts

  • Redesign of key team processes: meeting formats, communication protocols, and role clarity

  • Introduction to other leadership levels: Leading Others, Leading Leaders, Leading Businesses

One Assessment, Endless Possibilities

The Authentic Birkman Method® Experience

While you may encounter various personality assessments online that reference or claim to replicate the Birkman Method®, the genuine assessment can only be administered by trained, certified practitioners. This isn't about exclusivity—it's about accuracy and meaningful results. When you work with a certified Birkman® practitioner, you're not just getting an assessment—you're gaining a professional partner who can help you understand what your results mean for your specific situation and goals.

Professional Certification Requirements

The Birkman Method® requires specialized training and certification for several important reasons:

  • Proper Administration: Validity depends on correct implementation of a unique questioning methodology and scoring system

  • Accurate Interpretation: Raw data means little without the expertise to translate behavioral patterns into actionable insights

  • Personalized Analysis: Your results aren't just a set of scores—they're a complex roadmap that requires professional guidance to navigate effectively

Beyond Self-Assessment

Many online tools offer instant gratification through self-scoring questionnaires, but the Birkman Method's® 70+ years of research reveals that true behavioral insight requires more than surface-level responses. The assessment measures not just what you think about yourself, but how you actually function in social and occupational contexts—distinctions that emerge only through professional analysis.

Only by taking the official Birkman Method® assessment do you then gain access to over 20 different sub-reports that help you go even deeper. No knock-off does that. For coaches working with clients, managers with direct reports, or full teams take the assessment then there are multiple comparison reports we can run. These sub-reports help show natural strengths and diversities, areas of potential conflict and collaboration, and instructions for how to work with each individual for best performance.

Investment in Accuracy

While free alternatives exist, they often provide generic insights that could apply to anyone. The authentic Birkman Method®, administered by a certified practitioner, offers precise, research-backed understanding of your unique behavioral patterns, stress responses, and motivational drivers. This level of specificity is what makes the difference between interesting information and transformational self-knowledge.

Finally - you only need to take the assessment once. Unlike other online assessment that aren’t reliable (meaning you could take the test months to years later and have statistically significantly different results) the Birkman Method® self-assessment is relevant for life.

This isn’t self-help, it’s self-truth.
